  • José Manuel Galán Castela earned his degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Msc) in 2005 from Technical University of Madrid (UPM) at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Aeronáuticos specialized in propulsion and, subsequently, his degree in Economics (Bsc) in 2015 from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) specialized in economic analysis.

    José Manuel Galán Castela has developed his career in different positions of ITP Aero starting as aerodynamic designer of turbine blades and, afterwards, as validation engineer for low pressure turbines later. At the end of 2006, he began working in the MRO area of ITP Aero where he is a technical reference in the entire MRO process for gas turbine engines (turbojets, military turbofan, comercial turbofan, turboprop and turboshaft), he has been a member of the certified staff since 2007 and, currently, he is the balancing technologist for aeronautical parts and process engineering team leader in MRO among other responsabilities. Between 2015 and 2018 he worked in the ITP Aero Commercial Support team, which provided him with a complete vision of the entire world of aviation engine maintenance, both its technical aspects and business management.

    José Manuel Galán Castela combines his professional career at ITP Aero with collaboration as an associate professor at URJC. He has always interested in teaching and in 2019 he started as Lecturer Professor in Aerospace Engineeringand having the opportunity of training and sharing his experience and lessons learnt to new engineers.
