María Rubio is a pre-doctoral researcher at Rey Juan Carlos University. She studied Philosophy at URJC, where she received the Extraordinary Award at the end of her degree. She subsequently completed the Interuniversity Master¿s Degree in Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of Salamanca, where she was awarded the Extraordinary Final Award.

Her research focuses on the Philosophy of Physics, the Philosophy of Mind, and the Philosophy of Probability. In this vein, she achieved her undergraduate thesis with Honors, with the title The structure of reality according to the Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics: ontological and epistemological implications. She continued her research during her Master¿s thesis, entitled Philosophical implications and development of J. A. Wheeler's delayed-choice quantum experiment (with a grade of 10 out of 10).

She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation, titled Probability and Metaphysics in Everettian Quantum Mechanics in which she seeks to investigate whether EQM allows for the reconciliation of a fully deterministic global description with an indexical or in-branch description in which, by incorporating certain metaphysical elements, probability and uncertainty would emerge as the best analysis of the system (BSA). He also seeks to analyze, on the one hand, to what extent the resulting probability resolves the problems contained within the general problem of probability¿namely, the incoherence problem, the quantitative problem, the practical problem, and the epistemological problem¿and, on the other hand, the metaphysics that would be compatible with such a theory of probability.

She has published two articles: The Incoherence Problem in the Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics (2023) and Dichotomies of a Generated Science: A Brief Critical Approach to Projects for a Feminist Science (2023).

She has also published a book chapter: Hilary Putnam: from functionalism to skepticism in The future of human identity under debate (Juan Arana, Dir.) (2024).

She teaches Formal Logic and Philosophy of Nature.
