After graduating in Physics (1996), I completed my Ph.D. on chaos and optical turbulence in high-power lasers (2001). In 2000, I joined the Rey Juan Carlos University, where I have been a Professor since 2022. I carried out a postdoctoral stay (2002-2003) at the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (Florence, Italy) as a contract researcher. Since 2008, I have been part of the URJC Complex Systems Group and a permanent member of the institute mixed Biomedical Technology Center (CTB) of the UPM. My main research interest is the relationship between structure and dynamics in complex networks, especially dynamic competition, irreversible transitions, and biological adaptive networks. I have published more than 70 papers in indexed journals and being supervisor of 3 Ph.D thesis.
