Ana B. Alonso-Conde, PhD, is Full Professor of Finance at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Madrid, Spain, where she is also General Coordinator of the PhD Programme in Economics and Business Sciences.Rooted in financial economics, her research spans both the Economics and Business fields. Within Economics, she studies asset pricing from a macro-financial perspective, examining how consumption, demographic change, inflation, labour income, aggregate wealth, economic integration, market liquidity and macroeconomic uncertainty affect expected returns and financial-market behaviour. Her recent research has also analysed the incorporation of investors¿ environmental preferences into asset prices and the liquidity effects associated with changes in market greenness.Within Business, her research focuses on corporate finance and investment decisions, particularly project finance, financing structures, cost of capital, firm value and financial performance, ESG strategies, corporate environmental performance, green bonds, and the financing of renewable-energy and infrastructure projects. Additional research interests include the application of data envelopment analysis to financial markets and the study of entrepreneurial ecosystems.Her research has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals including International Review of Financial Analysis, Economics Letters, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, The Energy Journal, Resources Policy, Economic Analysis and Policy, International Review of Economics & Finance, The North American Journal of Economics and Finance, The European Journal of Finance, International Journal of Finance & Economics, International Review of Finance, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Portuguese Economic Journal, Research in Economics, Baltic Journal of Management and Review of Financial Economics, among others.She has held visiting academic positions at the University of Melbourne (2003, 12 weeks), the University of Valencia (2014, 12 weeks) and the University of Nevada, Reno (2016, 5 weeks).She served as Programme Co-Chair of the International Conference on Sustainable Finance 2022 (ICSF22) and is Co-Director of the Research Group in Financial Economics and Sustainability (ECOFIN-SOS).She is also a member of the Research Team of the UNESCO Chair in Creative Economy for Sustainable Development and Transforming the World, involving Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad de Alcalá and Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.She is a certified madri+d Business Mentor (Credential ID: 42-001/22). She also holds the European Financial Advisor (EFA) certification, certification number 7861.
