Dr. Paloma Sirvent is Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) since 2022. She obtained her PhD in Industrial Technologies at URJC in 2018. She worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher two years at the Institute of Construction Science Eduardo Torroja (IETcc-CSIC) and one year the Materials Department of Mines Saint Étienne (Saint-Étienne, France). Her research focus during the Postdoctoral positions was centered on the development of thermochromic mortars for improving the buildings energy efficiency. Her current research activity is related to her PhD topic, studying the microstructural, mechanical and tribological properties of metallic coatings. She has published eleven papers (h-index 5) and she has participated in four research national and international projects.
