Ines P. Mariño received her PhD in Physics from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 1999. She joined Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Spain, in 2000 and she is a Professor in the field of Applied Physics in this university since 2021. Her research interests are focused on applications of nonlinear dynamics and artificial intelligence to  Biomedicine and Neuroscience. She is a co-author of more than 50  peer-reviewed research articles (more than 30 Q1 in JCR) and has participated in more than 25 research projects funded by public agencies. She is currently an academic editor in Plos One and Complexity and Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of Women's Cancer of University College London.
