  • Dr. Paz-Albo is the coordinator of the Innovation and Educational Improvement Research Group (Grupo de Investigación en Innovación y Mejora Educativa) at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. He served as the director of the Master's Degree in Leadership and Management of Educational Centers at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos from 2013 to 2018. Formerly he chaired the World Language Department at John Hope College Preparatory High School (USA) from 2004 to 2010. His research interests focus on child development, educational technologies, teacher education and bilingual education. His work has been recognized with the Extraordinary PhD award, the first prize of the "II Premios Profesores Innovadores URJC online" and the award finalist for the "Premios de Investigación CSI-F Educación Madrid" for the "Improving Math Achievement of Madrid Students" research project with the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences (University of Washington).
