  • Luis Bote-Curiel received the degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad de Valladolid, Spain, in 2012. He completed his doctoral thesis in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Rey Juan Carlos University, where he obtained the title of Doctor in Information and Communications Technologies in July 2021. During his doctoral thesis, he worked mainly on interpretable machine learning methods for knowledge discovery in genomic and clinical ovarian cancer data.

    In addition, he has participated in several national and European research projects with various research institutions, mostly related to bioengineering and biomedical data. Also, he has several publications in JCR journals and has participated in several national and international conferences.

    Currently, he is an Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctor) in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Rey Juan Carlos University. He has experience in the development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms and in interpretability and explainability, which he has applied to solve various problems in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical data, and  in other fields such as telecommunications and electromagnetics.
