  • Doctor in Economic and Business Sciences and Associate Professor in the Department of Business Economics at Rey Juan Carlos University.

    Academic and Teaching Experience

    • 32 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with five positive teaching evaluations under the DOCENTIA Programme, the last three rated as Excellent.
    • Delivered over 30 different courses across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programmes, including online formats, adapting teaching and assessment methods to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) requirements.

    Administrative and Managerial Roles

    • Over 12 years of experience in academic management, including positions as Vice Dean, Assistant Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Transfer and Assistant Vice-Rector for Academic Organisation.

    Research and Publications

    • 24 years of participation in research projects and consultancy contracts, including:
      • 7 competitive national and European projects, funded by institutions such as the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (2020-2022), the European Commission and the Ministry of Environment (2017-2020), the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (2016-2019), and the Ministry of Health, Social Services, and Equality/Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities (2015-2016).
      • 14 research contracts (Article 83 LOU), including two as Principal Investigator (PI), in collaboration with prestigious institutions such as the Directorate-General for Economy of the Community of Madrid, the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation, Madrid Stock Exchange, Banco Santander Central Hispano, CaixaBank, KPMG, the General Council of the Judiciary, and Avalmadrid.
    • Publications:
      • 16 JCR-indexed articles (6 in Q1, 3 first decile, 6 in Q2).
      • 21 Scopus-indexed articles (9 in Q1, 9 first decile).
      • 6 books on revenue management and hotel management published by leading academic publishers.
      • 8 book chapters in high-impact academic publications.
    • Research Evaluations:
      • Two research periods recognised by CNEAI (sexenios).
      • One knowledge transfer period recognised by CNEAI since April 2020.

    • Visiting Researcher at Portsmouth University, UK (January-June 2024), collaborating with renowned researcher Giampaolo Viglia.
    • Principal Investigator (PI) of the High-Performance Research Group on Finance, Gender, Communication and Teaching Innovation at Rey Juan Carlos University.
